@Syrina: Welcome and so awesome you're new to the wonderful world of horror! LoL I know what you mean and feel free to ask away if you need any recommendations or anything! I also sent a friend request your way :-D
Hi all! Just joined and thrilled to be here. Signed up for the challenge and looking forward to see what y'all recommend. So excited for spooky season!
I am also new to this group. I am looking forward to finding horror books that are well written I am revising the genre, it’s been many years that I have been away.
@Tina: Welcome and very awesome! You joined at the perfect time as spooky season is almost upon us :-D
Hi all. Horror lover, reader, writer. I wrote the elevated horror film 'The Inhabitant' which was released through Lionsgate last fall. Thanks for having me!
My name is Billy and i'm from Texas. I really love horror and have since I was a kid. I grew up on Goosebumps and are you afraid of the dark . When it comes to a reader I love haunted stuff and slasher stuff, and as an author I write Horror Novellas that have ghost, creatures, and the occult.
Welcome Billy, Goosebumps were one of my fave intros into scary books, big fan as well. Are you Afraid of the Dark was also my jam, the one episode about that dancer and painter really got stuck in my head still to this day.
Welcome Billy! I have been LOVING horror novellas lately, and those subjects--especially supernatural-- are my favorites!
Welcome to HA Billy! I didn't read Goosebumps, I was a Fear Street gal. And Are You Afraid of the Dark.
I'm Garrett Boatman, author of Stage Fright, Onyx 1988, reissued as a Paperback from Hell by Valancourt Books 2020; Floaters: A Victorian Zombie Adventure; Night's Plutonian Shore; The Clocks of Midnight; and The Mirror of Eternity. I'm a retired English teacher enjoying a second career as an author.

Hello Everyone!
My name is Fiona, I live in Scotland, UK, and I have just joined this Goodreads Group.
I love reading. My tastes are quite eclectic, but my preferences are almost exclusively in the 'Horror' genre - by that, I can hopefully include themes such as the paranormal, supernatural, parapsychology, occult, folklore... well, most things weird and wonderful!
I really enjoy films, music (especially rock), writing, art, exploring darker things, and chatting with like minded people. But most of all, I love my precious dogs, who are my life. I generally find I have a closer affinity with dogs than I do with people, but don't worry, I don't bite - well, not often.
I'm looking forward to finding inspiration from the community here, exploring shared loves and ideas, offering my thoughts and ramblings, and I hope to have some interesting conversations. Feel free to contact me if you like, I'm not a permanent feature in cyberspace, but I always try to respond to messages eventually.
Thanks for having me along!
Hey everyone I’m Kayla. I’ve always been a huge fan of all things horror and occult, but just recently started reading it. I love gothics, haunted houses/ghosts, anything psychological, feminine rage, and gorey splatterpunk. Some of my favorite reads this year have been Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo, The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix, and The Slob by Aron Beauregard.
I’m also a full-time digital marketer & graphic designer at my own agency. I work mostly with hospitality/breweries & restaurants/tourism based businesses, but it’s my dream to design a book cover!
Hello, I'm Caroline - Highland Lass - living in exile in NE Scotland. I love reading, but a busy work life and Pottery side kick keeps me away from reading. I ended up here when I went down a rabbit hole looking for horror book subscriptions - I mainly read fantasy, sci-fi and Horror - and realised that I couldn't find what I wanted.
Anybody organised regular Horror book and goody swaps?
I used to be a member of a forum called craftster and swap hand made goodies around the world....miss those days.
been a member of Goodreads for years, but past few years it's really just been to record my reading journey.....now I want to find my people too.
Welcome Caroline! We don't have any book swaps but plenty of group reads for all kinds of horror. I'm in north east Tennessee, near the Smokey Mountains. in the southern U.S.
