Hello all. I'm Jarrett. I'm brand new to this site and brand new to this group. I love reading horror books, and love horror movies, anything scary really. Recently I've started looking to broaden my horror book reading, I'm really only familiar with the most known authors (your Stephen Kings and Dean Koontz etc.), so finding some new authors and new books would be awesome. But with all that being said, Hello :)
Welcome, Jarrett! Kealan Patrick Burke, Tim Curran, Edward Lorn, Jonathan Janz, Adam Cesare, Greg Gifune, Lee Thompson, Gregor Xane, Ania Ahlborn, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Adam Howe, Jeff Strand, Laird Barron...that should get you started :)
Hello, I really have just started reading and appreciating the horror genre. Some of my favorite movies include, The Haunting (the 60s version BW), Yellow Brick Road and Crimson Peak. I've noticed that I lean more towards supernatural horror. Some of my favorite books include Winter People, Vampires and the Haunting of Maddy Clare.
Hello, I'm Karth. I absolutely love the horror genre in general, both movies and books. I particularly like horror books with some meaning and that will have an impression on me. My favorite horror author is Stephen King. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know!

Hello,My name is koket and I LOVE reading horror books but I don't like watching horror films. If you have any recommedations please let me know. Thank You.
Hello everyone! I'm really excited to be here! I love horror pretty much, but I am still new and learning!
Hello,I'm Andrew Cairns, author of the horror/mystery/coming-of-age novel "The Witch's List". It will be released on 24th June 2016. It will hopefully be the first of a trilogy.

I also enjoy reading horror stories by Stephen King, HP Lovecraft...
Hello! I am BC Jackson. I am a big fan of horror (of course, that's why I'm here) and I am always looking for new things to read and watch. I am a Stephen King fanboy, for sure, and I also love scary movies- mainly those that walk the tightrope between horror/supernatural thriller. My favorite King book: Salem's Lot. My favorite scary movie: if I have to pick, and this is based almost purely on nostalgia, it would be Silver Bullet.
Hi all,I am Supratim and I am from India.
I love horror novels - both atmospheric and gore & physical horror. I love it if the horror novel has elements of a mystery and twists.
Thanks,
Supratim
Hi All,Awesome group - i'm curious about the horror genre as I am a big believer in the use of "Terror - as the anticipation of Horror" being the more critical experience than the actual Horror.
I also think that gratuitous use of gore is distasteful and a sign of bad writing unless the writing is aiming for gore.
Is there are thread where those who write horror hang out?
Thanks
Cheers Graeme
Hello and welcome to HA! There is an entire area for authors, but most of them seem to use it for promotion rather than for discussion with others. There are a bunch of authors that are members here though, so if you participate in any of the threads, you are bound to meet some. :)
