I loved Dahl's books when I was a kid but I never read Revolting Rhymes. It was banned in Australia in 2014, so I figured it was ok for this category.

It's a retelling of some well known fairytales (Cinderella, Jack, Red...) but with a humorous touch and with no mercy. It's very short (48p of poems) so I read it quickly. I enjoyed it a lot, there were some pleasant surprises and, for once, the morals were not cheesy. Not really recommended for children but very nice for grown-ups :)

Jen Juniper (jenjuniper) | 9 comments This was my number one purchase when I visited England for the first time, love the wicked rhymes and retold fairytales.

Sophie (sawphie) This looks interesting thanks Zaz.
