Hello! I applied to be a librarian a few days ago, and the whole process caused me to become curious. What are some of the more desirable traits looked for in future librarians on Goodreads? Do you have any advice for those wanting to be one; i.e. something they should do, something they should learn?

Hi Savannah.

I think it is desirable to speak/understand any other language (which I think you might, judging by your name). Being able to deal with books and authors in non-English is a big deal.

What you should learn is the manual , being active around here also helps as we get a lot of the policies clarified in this group (not everything can be covered in the manual).
