Colleen Marie Zukowski (clevergirlfromgallifrey) I agree 100% with Terri on Childhood's End. I also want to mention the following two sci-fi books:
Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham

but, I have to ask?
Does anyone remember the Gor series. My grandfather had all of the books and I read them when I was a teenager. They were awesome sci-fi. Of course that was 30 years ago. :)))
