Sing My Name question

I loved this book even as I winced at the horrible torments inflicted on Matt and rued their long separation. It hurt, then I realized that the story reminded me wonderfully of The Odyssey. Matt endures years of trials and separation from Sarah, even as she struggles like Penelope, to raise their child alone, and just like Penelope she has to fight off the attentions of unwanted suitors in the eternal hope her beloved will return, I also love a clever resourceful hero with a sense of humor (here he reminded me of Stephen Montgomery, a fave from Highland Velvet ) and a scarred, tortured hero with a heart of gold (reminded me of Houston Leigh in Texas Destiny).
