I did this a while back, there should still be a link to my lists in one of the other threads

Sarah, thank you for reminding us all about your work! Here is the link to Sarah's list (with her text quoted as well):

Ok, hopefully this link to my excel file will work.

Next References

These are all the references I could find in the first four books. I tried to sort them into major, moderate and minor references, depending on whether there was a main character/plot involved or just a passing reference. Some are references that Jasper Fforde mentions on his website as being useful in his writing, and some works are purely fictional.

It is quite a list (over 200 entries) covering all sorts of reading!

That's great! I was wondering if I should make some sort of index of importance too. I'll still keep listing as I read but I'm so happy to see your lists! Great job. It's a shame I didn't know this before I started.

I'm writing them down as I stumble upon them in the books. I'm currently rereading the entire series (slowly) so if anyone's interested I'll post my list after completion of each. or at least say if there's anything I found missing on Sarah's excellent list which I think everyone should have a look at.

Sarah | 14 comments I know how much work there was compiling the list when I did it, happy if I can save others some effort. And I'll be really grateful if anyone picks up something I missed.

Harvey (jamtheory) | 4 comments Wow that's a very impressive list. How long did it take to get all the texts in all four? I'm considering setting myself some kind of Thursday Next challenge and reading a set number from each list that I haven't read before. Is anyone else thinking of doing anything similar?

Esther (eshchory) | 2 comments Impressive! Thanks for all your hard work.
