Read TWO books, one from Book 1 AND one from Book 2.
Book 1: Read a book with the genre "Historical Fiction" or "History" on its main page. Reasonable variations of these genres will also be accepted (ex: Historical Romance, Historical Mystery, American History, World History, etc).
Book 2: Read a book first published within the last year (Sept 2014 -- November 2015).
OR
Read ONE book that fulfills both Book 1 and Book 2 requirements.

Will this work for the ONE book option? It has Historical Fiction and Historical as main page genres and it was published Sept 24 2015

No, sorry. You need to look at when the book is first published. Not when the edition is published. First published dates are usually found in parentheses after the editions publication date. In this case, it says: Expected publication: September 24th 2015 by Accent Press (first published February 11th 2014). Since February 2014 falls before Sept. 2014, the book won't work for the one book option. It will work for Book 1 of the TWO book option, though.
