Jacki Hate to say that I wasn't impressed with this book. The idea behind it is terrifying and it is a detailed, unique dystopian novel, however I felt the narration style too difficult to get into. Also, I absolutely hate endings like this...

Not for me. Will admit to being extremely distracted (on vacation), so its possible that if I sat down and re-read this over the course of a few days as opposed to several I may have enjoyed it more.

Did you read the historical notes at the end?

I had similar feelings about the narration style but the notes shed some light on why it was written the way that it was. They also really helped with the ending and the overall details of the book.
