This game is a great way to find inspiration and get the creativity flowing! Here is how to play:
1) Someone will comment a single verse of poetry
2) The next person will continue the poem by adding another verse
3) After the 20th verse is written, I will comment the full poem

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 191 comments Beneath the velvety blanket of night,
Everyone sleeps; snuggled up tight.
Or so they say! But that’s not right,
For from one window shines a light.

The glowing rays of light pour over the windowsill, illuminating the alley beneath.

Jen Garrett | 100 comments A silhouette approaches
the ally light scatters in fright,
A shadowy presence encroaches
the window pane shrieks in delight.

In a red coat and black boots,
A man steps into the light
A white beard cascades down to his plump belly
A sack of gifts her carries, slung over his shoulder
Whoever could it be?

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 191 comments With a, "ho, ho ,ho," his big round belly,
Shakes and jiggles, like a bowl of jelly.

A lump of something tucked under his coat

of its own accord
