Hi all,

sorry I don't know much about this one apart from the title. a young boy finds a staircase up a mountain or a hill, and finds n old ruined house, meets aliens? maybe im not sure. he also has dreams hes chased by a Kraken through the woods in his dreams. I read this in the 80s, so could have been published in 70s/80s. Im not sure of anything else, its been bothering me for years now, so I hope you all can help. many thanks
