I've just finished my 3rd book and it is the first not in the romance genre. It is a political satire about capital punishment. The story is finished but I need to do some edits, but while I do that I'm hoping to get some feedback by people who would be likely to purchase this story.
I've not done a synopsis yet but here are the basics:
Lucky is an event planner who recently lost her job after a mishap at a retirement party. Her BFFs sister offers her a job as a Post Conviction Event Coordinator, basically it is her job to plan 'family friendly' executions.
Governor Madison Madigan has spent most of her life known as Lil Maddie to the people of the state of Illinois, she was thrilled when the people chose her to take over after her grandfather's death. But a democratic governor reinstating the death penalty isn't without its controversies, especially when it comes to the issue of executing or pardoning spree killer turned online preacher Pastor Parsons.
Cordially Invited features a cast of characters including ambitious campaign workers, plotting politicians and media hounds.
