OMG. How could I have enjoyed this book? It's such a misogynistic nightmare! Yes, I get that it's a little past it's prime (originally published in 1924) but I actually enjoyed reading it as a kid. I thought I did, anyhow.

Interesting tidbit...when I went to the library to look for this book....there were like 3 rows! I doubt that Ms Warner is still writing (she was born in 1890) but it looks like the series goes on.

Kathi (kathijo) | 78 comments I loved the Boxcar Children series when I was younger - one of the series I enjoyed reading so much. I don't think I knew they were written that long ago. Not sure how I would feel reading them now.
