A bookstore in Michigan has offered refunds and apologies to people who bought Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman thinking it would be “a nice summer novel.”

You can read their opinion piece here.

Have you ever returned a book because you didn't like it?

I've returned a book only once. I was broke and shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

Jenny | 12 comments I never have but there have been plenty of times where I promise to only read library books so I don't waste my money again... but I still buy books too.

Gail Otteson | 1 comments The opinion piece does 't say anything about a refund.....would that just be a marketing idea for getting peolple back into the store? An adult is certainly responsible for reading reviews and deciding for themselves to take the risk of buying a book. Never occured to me that I might ask for my money back! That said, I thought the opinion piece was well thought out...
