We changed the title and cover (not any content) on one of our author's books. As instructed here, we had him select through his Goodreads author account the new version to be the default version. However, it doesn't show up that way, except on his own account, to him. If anyone else does a search on a word from the title or his author name, they only see the old version, unless they click for 'more,' go all the way to the bottom, check for other editions, and then click on the newer cover (which they wouldn't be able to tell from that view is the newer one).

Author wrote to Goodreads help on July 25 (a few days after he changed it), and was told that the old cover was just cached, and would switch to the new one once the cache was cleared. But how long does this take?

We have the new title/cover up on Net Galley now, and have heard from at least one reviewer that they couldn't find it to post a review. Help!

The cache should take at most a day or two to clear. Not sure why that didn't happen in this case, but I just forced a manual cache reset. And it seems to have done the trick: https://www.goodreads.com/search?utf8...+

Paula Cappa | 54 comments I am also have a similar problem with updating my book covers on the normal book page. On August 7, two covers were updated and I was told the cache would take a day or so. It's now Day 3. Any suggestions? The books are The Dazzling Darkness, and, Night Sea Journey, A Tale of the Supernatural. Can you advise, please? Thank you. Paula Cappa

Paula, I manually reset the cache for both of your books as well.
