ACE created, now how to merge?

I created an ACE and am ready to name it as the primary edition. Does a librarian need to merge the two first, or how does that work? Librarian note included in ACE with ASIN#.

Yes, it needs to be combined first (not merged, that's when one of the entries is deleted). I've combined them, for future reference the "combine" button is on the edition's page between "add a new edition" and "edit details". You can now set the new edition as primary.
