The description says it is a murder mystery involving a young native girl.

The reviews mention it being like Lincoln Lawyer and Reacher. I liked both of the movies, and this book sounds intriguing.

This was just a ho-hum book. The author juxtaposes two cases of a women who kills her rapist both being defended by the same lawyer in the same small town. One is a poor native girl and the other a well-positioned white woman.

The story starts out very jumpy and does not really smooth out at all. I feel some sympathy for the native girl, but I think the author was looking to incite more outrage.

It was not a total waste of time, but I will not be reading this authors other works.
