He Admired Virginia and Leonard Woolf and was a great friend of Ralph Partridge, but might not have been as involved with the famous set were it not that he was besotted with Partridge’s wife, the painter Dora Carrington, with her “corn-coloured hair”, her “sweet, honeyed smile” and “bright blue, restless eyes”.Personal Record 1920-1972

I haven't but have heard of it , It goes now on my list "To Read" .. Thanks for the reminder Ivan! I know that when Strachey went to visit him in Spain he truly struggled climbing the hills to reach Brennan's home . He did say it was beautiful country
