In joining this group you have agreed TO REVIEW ANY ALLOCATED BOOK within the set 12 week limit.

This is the ‘18+’ group. Anyone is free to enter any genre book in this group, but should be aware that they will predominantly be reviewing books with explicit sex and/or violence.
Allocation is entirely random and there will NOT be any rearranging of the listing to accommodate genre preference. The ONLY circumstance in which you may duck out of giving a review is if YOU provide a stand-in reviewer.

Let’s be honest here – we don’t all like the same things but we all want reviews. The only way this group can function is if we trust each other to behave honourably. And it IS perfectly possible to give a fair-minded review of a text that does not coincide with our normal choice of reading matter. If you need a few hints/tips, please see this thread:

The book is in the said genre - subject matter is child abuse, murder, random sex but it is all written in a subtle (not explicit) manner and deals with adults living through abuse and of course catching the bad guy. But I do feel that the book won't fit in the 'clean' group at all. Hence kindly do include me in this one.

Given the 18+ category, I think True's Love would be OK.

It starts off very raunchy then relaxes as the character grows.

It's a sexy romance with suspense!

I would like to have my epic sci-fi novel Deneb included. At 267,000 words Deneb is EPIC in every sense, with hundreds of named characters, multiple plotlines, and deep backstory rooted in seven distinct cultures spread out over 48,000 years, from Neandertals to future transhumans. Deneb contains descriptions of nudity, violence, sex scenes, murder and battle death, one rape, and frequent adult situations. The novel includes a full conlang, Tasblish, necessary to the understanding of one of the seven cultures, the Tasfit (Neandertals). A glossary of terms is appended. I have reviewed one of Noorilhuda's novels, The Governess. I have not read or reviewed the novel she is submitting to this group.

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

Those submitting their books to me (Robin Peacock, Montgomery Mahaffey, Erik Rivenes and Mark McKay). I am an insatiable and voracious glutton when it comes to stories of any kind. I also read fast (a skill developed in order to feed my hunger for books) and only sleep around four hours a night (I don't even drink coffee).
So, I would be more than happy to read all four books over the next couple of weeks as it would only require me to refrain from spending money on other books on Amazon.
I will write each review as soon as I finish the corresponding book and assuming it doesn't contravene any rules (I can't think why it would), I would like to suggest that I PM it to you for approval before I post it to this thread from the two Amazons, GoodReads and anywhere else you would like me to?
I am also a book sniffer, so I would welcome a description of what your manuscript smells like :)

I am eager to read your works. I would prefer epub, then mobi, then docx, then PDF in descending order of preference.

You are very welcome to read and submit your reviews as fast as you like, as long as all four reviews are completed by the end of round four. Some people race through them, some stick exactly to the cut-off dates. Either is fine.
