Ramla Zareen Ahmad | 62 comments Hello everyone,

These days I am in the mood for reasonably clean, witty, cute and light-hearted Contemporary Romances.

I'd really appreciate it if you could please recommend some good books that meet these requirements.

Thank you :-)

Natalie Hart (NatalieHart) | 9 comments Hi Ramla,
If I'm being too forward feel free to disregard this, but I'd be happy to offer you a copy of my first novella, To Love a Way of Life, no strings attached. When I started writing it my intention was to create something sweet (and I hope I've pulled that off.)

--To Love a Way of Life To Love a Way of Life by Natalie Hart by Natalie Hart (me!)

There's no reviews for it yet, but one piece of feedback I got back from a nerdy person I know, who would never read romance normally was that it made him feel, "all cozy and warm..."

There's nothing explicit in it, there is some kissing but nothing more than that. I believe there is one swear word during a tense moment when a person is all alone.

It's about a woman who finds her career taking her in new directions to the rural Irish village of Ballyhane. And she doesn't know if she's fallen in love with the way of life in the village, or the man who brought her there.

If you're interested in reading it I just need an e-mail address and a message to let me know what format you'd like it in (epub or mobi.) I think there's something different about messaging people who have their work on GoodReads, so if you can't message me with you're email and preferred format, just say here and I think I can start the message chain to you.

This goes for anyone else as well. If you'd like a copy just say. If you'd be willing to review it after it would be great, but I don't expect anything in return at all.

(If the mods have an issue with this just let me know and I'll edit it out. I don't want to step on any toes.)

Hi Natalie, thanks for letting me know about your book, I checked it out and the plot seems really interesting :-) Unfortunately, I am unable to accept your kind offer, as I only read paper-books and don't own a kindle. However, I will be sure to pass on the information to some of my friends who read ebooks and who I think would find your book appealing. Anyway, wish you all the best in your writing career, thanks again! :-)

Hi Natalie, Congratulations on publishing your new novel. Would you be interested in a review swap? I am afraid I haven't got the hang of checking updates and stick with messages. Please message me or email me via my website. I am not sure if I can post my email id here. Regards, India

Ramla Zareen Ahmad | 62 comments Hi, also wanted to share about some of my recent reads that met my requirements for 'reasonably clean' Contemporary Romances with humour:

--Kissing the Maid of Honor Kissing the Maid of Honor (Secret Wishes, #1) by Robin Bielman  by Robin Bielman.

--Married In Seattle  Married In Seattle (First Comes Marriage & Wanted Perfect Partner) by Debbie Macomber by Debbie Macomber.

--Just the Sexiest Man Alive  Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James  by Julie James.

--My One and Only  My One and Only by Kristan Higgins  by Kristan Higgins.

--Fiancé by Fate  Fiance by Fate by Jennifer Shirk  by Jennifer Shirk.

Also wanted to share about few Romantic Comedy books that I very much enjoyed and considered 'clean':

--Twenties Girl  Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella  by Sophie Kinsella.

--Can You Keep a Secret?  Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella  by Sophie Kinsella.

In the end, I would like to mention another Contemporary Romance book which is not as 'clean' as I could have wished, yet it is still among my favourites:

--Paradise Paradise (Second Opportunities, #1) by Judith McNaught  by Judith McNaught.

Hi Anna, thanks for telling me about your book :-) I just checked it out and it seems like the kind of a book that I might enjoy ...and the best thing is that it's available as a paperback too, which is the only format that I currently read. Looking forward to reading it soon :-)

Colin Lever A read a comment somewhere (not sure exactly where) that the art of good writing is to say more using less words. How often, when we proof read our work, do we find that we overstate, over emphasise etc (at least I do! Just done it now see!). I just love the suggestion rather than the explicit, decribe the kiss but the leave the rest to the reader's imagination. Good forbid life is real enough without having 'it' shoved in your face.

Ramla Zareen Ahmad | 62 comments Hi everyone,

Hope all is well at your end :-)

I just wanted to add some more books:

1) What He Wants by Jessie Gussman

2) Her Backup Boyfriend by Ashlee Mallory

3) She Loves Me, He Loves Me Not by Zeenat Mahal

I'd also like to mention my recently published book. Hope that's okay :-)

The book is titled:

The One for Me The One for Me by Ramla Zareen Ahmad

It's a light-hearted, romantic fiction, set in modern-day Pakistan.

You can check it out if you like :-)

Thank you,
Ramla Zareen
