Tips for Writing Nonfiction

Writers, share something you wished you'd learned early on about writing nonfiction books.

Many fiction tips work for nonfiction too, like; show, don't tell, make it come alive for the reader, write tight, have your 1st sentence and paragraph grab the reader's attention. Have a point(or thread)that runs through the piece and is brought to resolution at the end.

I love writing nonfiction. The story is there, I just have to put it down in a way that will resonate with readers.

That's so true. My favorite non fiction books are the ones that come alive and place me right there.
