Leslie | 825 comments I am particularly excited by the Flaubert, as one of my personal challenges this year is to read more French literature.

I thought the same Tom! I've read Mrs Dalloway, and heard it as an audio play; what is seemingly a simple tale has more to it - I believe - so I am looking forward to discussing that one particularly.

Leslie, do you read in the original French? I've heard it is quite a different experience to read any book in its original language compared to reading a translation.

Leslie | 825 comments No, I have rudimentary French from taking it in high school but nowhere near good enough to read in it!
