What U.S. Military book would you like to see made into a movie?

I believe I was 16 years old or so when I read Into the Mouth of the Cat.

Now, 20 some odd years later, I am reading it again here with the group. After recently reading and seeing Lone Survivor, I have to say that Into the Mouth of the Cat should be put on screen to reach a mass audience.

What Lance Sijan went through and his mental discipline is beyond amazing. Awarding him the Medal of Honor is the least his nation could do to show the recognition for such bravery and discipline. LT. Lance P. Sijan, is more than a hero.

I hope that you all are reading this incredible story.

Gerard Fleck (gerardfleck) | 6 comments Right now on the tube I have been watching The Last Ship. I know this is not real Military writing as this group is called, it is especially not soldiers on the ground in combat, but it was a book converted into a TV miniseries. It does shed light on the modern say US Navy, life aboard ship, nautical technology and weapon systems. We never really see this stuff and ... Well, shit, I think it's cool as hell.
