I recently read and reviewed " land where I flee" by Prajwal Parajuly.. It's only his second book.. And I liked it..
So I got curious .. There must be debut authors you have come across who you loved and to read more of their work

Anthony Ryan self-published a wonderful novel titled Blood Song. For many readers, it was reminiscent of The Name of the Wind. The book was strong enough that it was purchased by one of the Big Five NYC publishers.
For me, the characterizations were stronger in Blood Song, but Patrick is such a lyrical writer. For a huge tome, Name of the Wind is surprisingly agile and alive.
Something that struck a nerve for me as an immigrant to America was Inside Out & Back Again. It's a story written in free verse of a young girl's journey from Saigon just before the city's fall to the North to a new home in Alabama. Pithy, poignant writing.
