Meri | 3 comments I really enjoyed the beginning of this book - it was refreshing to hear a woman being so angry, and I really warmed to the character.

A couple of paragraphs later, I felt that she was being quite negative and 'victim' like and my point of view changed. Interesting. I have struggled against being a victim, or having people feel sorry for me for my double whammy status, maybe that's why.

I enjoyed her anger as well but had a hard time warming up to her. I think maybe because there was so much going on in the book that character development suffered a bit.
