Jenni Frencham (jennifrencham) I really enjoyed this graphic novel, especially since I got to read it during Black History Month. I read the e-version, so I was shown the page as a whole and then each individual panel. I wasn't sure how well I would be able to read and enjoy a graphic novel on my Kindle, but it ended up working fairly well, except that graphics-heavy pages load more slowly than text pages do.

Jess (jmor) I agree that this is a powerful autobiography of John Robert Lewis. The story flowed well, and it made me want to learn more about the lunch counter sit-ins, and the civil rights movement in general.
I've been a fan of Nate Powell's art since he did the Percy Jackson graphic novel adaptations. He makes great use of gray scale in this book.
