I kind of have a hard time to get friends with Sydney's POV >.<
I just recently re-read VA and I miss Rose :( But everyone likes it (see comments above!lol) so I want to like it too..

Do you think Jill and Adrian share a bound? It's something I've been thinking about since the book started. The way Jill acted and the fact that she was attacked, maybe she died?

After reading Chapter 10 I'm actually pretty sure it has to be related to Adrian being a spirit user, but maybe it's just misleading.

About other stuff:
Sydney is a little bit like Hermione from Harry Potter lol. She is way too perfect! O.O I hope she might change a little bit during the book/series.. Maybe even do something about that stupid jerk Keith?

Yeah same here, I kind of don't like the book yet either.. So far it's just school life and nothing really happening.

But I have to admit I didn't like the first book in the VA series that much either. The action started in the second book, so I want to at least try to read the second book from Bloodlines. >.<

(view spoiler)[Actually I don't think the age difference is so bad. When I was 14/15(not sure anymore lol) I was going out with a guy, who was 18, too, and it didn't seem bad. So maybe I'm a little biased on this lol.
Although I have to say some guys won't stop acting like they are in puberty until they are 25 or something like that (lol).
However I have to admit Lee acts kind of grown up (in comparison to Adrian, whom I'm not sure of if you can take him seriously on anything lol ), but as far as I've seen Jill doesn't act like a usual teenager either. Sometimes she is scared and shy, but I believe she has to have grown up a little bit with all the stuff that was going on in VA.
So even if there is an age difference, as far as I can tell up until now, they doesn't seem too bad as a couple.
Weren't there some kind of age difference between Rose and Dimitri, too?(Since he was her teacher and so on..) (hide spoiler)]

Today I read Chapter 11-14 (didn't have enough time to read 15! :( )
(view spoiler)[I was right! Adrian and Jill share a bound! But he is such an idiot.. :( I don't even want to imagine him having sex with some girls and Jill's watching,soo gross!!
But I kind of start to like Micah.. Maybe a triangle relationship with Lee-Jill-Micah? Jill and Micah could have a lot of small dhampir children! :)
Or maybe Adrian-Sydney-Trey? Not sure about Sydney though, it's shocking she never dated someone before! (hide spoiler)]

Actually I'm starting to like Bloodlines now :). If I wouldn't have to write a math exam tomorrow, I'd never have stopped reading! LOL

Chapter 16
(view spoiler)[You are probably right about the use of Moroi blood in the tatoos. But I wonder who is actually killing those Moroi.. Are they humans? Maybe vampire hunters? Or are they Strigoi? Or humans working with Strigoi AGAIN? Everything is still so confusing. I mean they could simply ask some moroi for their blood, it's better than killing them lol. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17
(view spoiler)[I wonder if Micah is related to Mason in any way.. Actually I kind of ignored the comment of him being similar to Mason, but maybe there actually is a deeper meaning? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 18
(view spoiler)[I hate how all action that's happening so far is Jill disappearing. It's boring :( And I totally support Sydney being angry at Jill! That was simply stupid.
But I have to agree with you about Sydney's paranoia regarding magic. She totally did overreact when Adrian appeared in her dream. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19-20
(view spoiler)[I hate Keith. He is such an ass. Also I kind of don't trust him. What is he doing with Clearance all the time? Maybe he is involved with the tatoos, too..
But I love how Sydney starts to talk back and fight! That's great :) Hopefully she'll be able to get rid of Lauren, too (hide spoiler)]

Overall opinion
(view spoiler)[Actually I'm starting to like Bloodlines, but the chapter really seem to be too long.
I love all characters though! Maybe Eddie should get some more screentime. He always was just a side character in VA, I hope he'll finally get his time to shine in Bloodlines! :)
And I don't like Lee. He seems nice and stuff, but it kind of feels like he is suspicious. Is he involved with the killings? Where was he when Adrian was trying to call him in LA? O.O In addition one of the teachers(the one that was talking about the killed girl) recognized him. Can't be a coincidence, right? (hide spoiler)]

There are only 7 chapters left, so I'll probably finish reading tomorrow, but I'm not sure yet, if I want to keep reading Bloodlines. >.<
Actually I'll probably decide after reading the end lol.

How about we finish Uglies first (we go for the bonus points, when you finish a series) and then continue with Bloodlines? Bloodlines has only 2 books left, right?
So I'd suggest we read like half a book a day with Uglies series lol and then with Bloodlines probably too. (since we don't have that many days anymore)

I'm also working on finishing Beautiful Creatures, before the month ends.

Is the other team really active?

I got all as an ebook (since I already read Uglies, Pretties and started Specials), so I can simply read it in one go :)

I'm really not sure, what to think about this series yet. I have to admit the story wasn't really intresting, since it was pretty obvious, that something was wrong with both Lee and Keith. I'm also not sure where the story is heading. What is going to happen to Sydney and the others next? Will there be a bigger context for everything that is happening?

I liked the fact, that Lee wanted to become Strigoi again though. It kind of never crossed my mind what happens to people, who actually want to be Strigoi again, so at least this was intresting.

I have to admit I'm not as fond of Sydney as I was of Rose. Sydney was nice as a side character, I'm not sure if I like her as a main character yet.
So I'll probably read the next book in the series just to see if it might get better lol. (hide spoiler)]

Just as a side note:
I think spirit is weird anyway. In VA it was mentioned, that a spirit user without a bound has to become crazy and probably kill himself/herself.
So how is Lissa doing good even though she doesn't have the bound anymore? I know she was pretty unstable in VA, so I wouldn't want someone on the verge of becoming crazy as queen o.O . (Is there something mentioned about her?) And what about Sonya? She became Strigoi to escape Spirit, does she show any new signs?

And Adrian was kind of fine all the time, but now that he has a bound, he has to take pills? Just weird.

But it's weird that suddenly the bound is back again, even though is was clearly stated at the end of VA that the bound was gone O.O
