Joan (joansapper) | 4 comments Margery Allingham? the Campion series? Flowers for the Judge ( the one I found in my bookshelves!) was published in 1936. I expect her others were about that time. But she is not to everyone's taste, though I love Albert Campion.Flowers for the Judge

Bill Patricia Wentworth wrote the Miss Silver mysteries, two of which were published in the 1930's, Lonesome Road and The Case Is Closed; the first 8 of Ngaio Marsh's Inspector Alleyn mysteries were published in the 1930's
