Rachel Why did Irving leave out the final digit on the years? I keep turning back to the cover to find out if I mistakenly grabbed an uncorrected proof or advanced readers copy in need of more editing?

Feliks I think that's marvelous. Forgot all about it, thanks for the reminder.

RoseAnn I haven't ever seen an explanation from the author about that. I always thought it was because the specific year wasn't as important as the general timeframe. It does take some getting used to and was mildly frustrating to me because I think in terms of exact years!

Joy Treganowan It's an "about" time, not exact time. You don't need to know exactly when it takes place - that's not relevant
