Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments I have changed the cover of the Curse The Moon. Can you please delete the old cover and add the new one. Here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H3HHXMG/?...

Thank you very much.

Adelina | 14 comments Done.

Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments Thanks, Adelina. I appreciate the speed.

How do I get a larger thumbnail? That one is so tiny, none of the detail shows up.

message 4: by Melanti (new)

Melanti | 761 comments I changed it to a larger version of what Adelina had already changed it to... but I'm not sure why it was changed in the first place... Normally we'd just create an alternate edition rather than deleting an existing cover, wouldn't we?

message 5: by Adelina (new)

Adelina | 14 comments Thank you Melanti. Well this is my first day being a librarian here, and Lee asked to delete the old one.

Cover changes reverted.

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/85....

The author will then have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31...

Adelina | 14 comments But next time I'll remember that! =)

Perhaps before you answer more requests, you might familiarize yourself a bit more with the Librarians Manual.

message 9: by Adelina (new)

Adelina | 14 comments Rivka thank you for the information.

message 10: by Lee (new)

Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments Thank you both. Your attention is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, only the old cover is showing right now.

message 11: by Melanti (new)

Melanti | 761 comments Lee, is this new cover for the Kindle edition, not the paperback, I assume?

Here you go -- https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

You can use the instructions Rivka gave to set this edition as the default.

message 12: by Lee (new)

Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments Can we please try again? I still need my new cover for Curse The Moon showing on the site. As of this moment, it is not on the site anywhere. Once again, here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H3HHXMG/?...

message 13: by Melanti (new)

Melanti | 761 comments I think we cross-posted. I linked to the new edition for you.

message 14: by Lee (new)

Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments The old cover is still there, and when I click on "Edit Details" on the book page, the new cover does not show up. Maybe there is a time delay? Right now, it looks like the old cover is the only one showing. Here is the Amazon link for the new cover: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H3HHXMG/?...

message 15: by Melanti (new)

Melanti | 761 comments Instead of deleting and replacing covers, what we do is create an additional edition of your book with the new cover. For you, that cover is here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

That lets the people who have already purchased and shelved the book keep their existing cover on their shelves and any new readers can shelve the copy with the new cover.

Authors can change the default edition for their books by following the instructions on this page: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3... This will make it so anyone searching for your book or looking at your author profile will see the new cover first.

Lee Jackson (authorleejackson) | 15 comments That worked, Melanti. Thank you very much!
