The alternates:
Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

Laura Hey team :) Cant wait to start this game!

message 5: by Sue (last edited Feb 04, 2014 07:22AM) (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Hi team,

I'm Sue and alittle about me.... I'm a 52 yr old female with 3 grown children. My Hubby runs an elevater in a small town in Kansas, where I work part-time(whenever he needs me...lol) I read fast mostly PNR and I love audibles which I can listen to at work...

I prefer not to be captain and the only name I can think of is Triple Threat...

message 6: by Laura (new)

Laura Hi Sue! Nice to meet you! I'm from Estonia, but live in Belgium :)

message 7: by Laura (new)

Laura Where is the rest of our team?

message 8: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 1416 comments Hello! I think I'm on the right team!

I'm Suzanne, I'm 34 years old with 2 little kids. I listen to audio books as well, I've got tons saved on my hard drive and I borrow lots from the library.

Things have been pretty busy on my side, so I would not be a good candidate for captain. I usually do all my goodreads updating during business hours Monday - Friday, I try to log on at home but with little ones it's not always an option.

message 9: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Hi Suzanne,
I remember those days......so glad little ones grow up.....hehehe

I sent a PM to Bouchra asking her to check in....:)

Yeah, we're at the fun stage where the 23 month old has figured out how to climb out of her pack and play. Fun...

message 11: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Enjoy her now... She will be real fun at 16 hehehe

message 12: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments I pmed Jenne about our missing teammate...I hope all is OK

message 13: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Jenne says she will contact her also and if she hears nothing Monday she will find a replacement...

Laura would like to be captain and we also need a name....:)

message 14: by Laura (last edited Feb 07, 2014 10:19AM) (new)

Laura I have never been a captain before, but I can be if no one else don't want to be. What would be my responsibilities?

Wenn it comes to team names I'm really bad..hmm four musketeers...

message 15: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Name works for me... The captain rolls on Sunday and weds or Thursday ( can't remember which )midnight cst , not sure what time that is were you are. There is a time converter at top of page. And captain post on captain page when all post in...

I think like this

Sue- book- post 000
Laura-book post 000
The whole team...you can look at captain page. Jenne usually has an example.. I would but I am doing both team challenges and I trying to keep them separate.

Once I get book done I won't talk much but I think a person should check in each day their book is out.... Just to let team know, they are reading and not forgetting challenge.....

message 16: by Laura (last edited Feb 07, 2014 01:49PM) (new)

Laura Thanks Sue its really helpful :) I think when its midnight there its 7am here....

message 17: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Laura you are captain and the name is four musketeers ... Go to sign up thread and tell Jenne . We start Sunday midnight ... Hope that good time for you to roll....

message 18: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Laura take a look at the post your spot thread In the SSS archives. That'll give you a visual and them you'd roll on Sundays and Thursdays so long as all reviews are in.

message 19: by Laura (new)

Laura Okay I signed us up for this Sunday :) I hope I can wake up that early :D I'll do my best!

message 20: by Bouchra (last edited Feb 07, 2014 05:33PM) (new)

Bouchra Rebiai (bouchrarebiai) | 168 comments Hey guys! Sorry for not checking in earlier, I was dealing with some personal stuff. Can't wait for Sunday!

Edit: Forgot to introduce myself!

I'm 20, and I live in Saudi Arabia. I'm currently studying for my A Levels (UK equivalent of AP courses) and writing a novel.

Are we all supposed to read the same book for each roll or can we fit books to the requirements? (Sorry if this was mentioned elsewhere, I just can't remember, I've been really overwhelmed with stuff.)

message 21: by Sue (new)

Sue Morris | 1095 comments Bouchra,

Welcome....You can read any book that fits roll...be it that number in a series or alternate....
Alternate are number( you get the one # of the space you land on.....

Usually the captain will tell you roll and what space we land on...if it a double digit space such as 15 you can read a book that is a single or first in series for the 1, a 5th book in series or alternate number 15...

If you have any question during game just ask team members will be glad to help :)

message 22: by Laura (new)

Laura Welcome to the team Bouchra :)

Review- Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

This is a series I really love and I'm so glad to find out there will be another book after this, since I hate books that end with clift hangers and this one is far from over....

Review: Once again book from this series freaked me out a lot. I like thrillers, but at the same time I'm scared as well. In this book Agent Pendergast goes to small town in Kansas to investigate a bizarre murder and with every murder it gets more bizarre. The small town is scared and its not helping that the murderer is locale. If you are looking for a book that keeps you on edge the entire time you are reading it, this is the book for you.

Review: I LOVE listening to this series and will continue it...
Betrayed by her longtime vampire love, Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse must now not only deal with a possible new man in her life-the oh-so-handsome shapeshifter Quinn-but also contend with a long-planned vampire summit. With her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans, the local vampire queen is vulnerable to those hungry for a takeover. Soon, Sookie must decide what side she'll stand with. And her choice may mean the difference between survival and all-out catastrophe.
