In this section, Gale was roomed with Brian, and the season starts with both Piccolo and Sayers making the team, Brian being Gale's backup. Their friendship starts to grow, as they go out to get pizza together with their wives. Brian tells Gale that he is going to work harder than he is so that he can take over the starting spot, but he tells him more as a friend than as someone that he wants to destroy.
