The Care of Magical Creatures classroom, located on the ground floor of Hogwarts, is where Silvanus Kettleburn taught Care of Magical Creatures until 1993. Some poisonous snails were kept there, which escaped in 1991. When Kettleburn retired and Rubeus Hagrid took over, the lessons took place by his hut.
