Travis took in her narrowed eyes and challenging tone and knew she didn't believe him. "Just you. I don't think I could handle others that are like you all at once." He said with a teasing smile. If she refused his friendship then there was nothing that he could do about it but move on and look for another way to show his friends that he wanted things to change. He could probably talk to them but he didn't know if talking would get his full point across to them.

"Hmm...yeah, I'm such a handful." Nshe nodded her head in mock agreement. It was fun for her to be able to bicker back and forth with someone who could easily keep up with her and didn't get offended by her stubborn and somtimes rude personality. It was banter like this that she wanted with someone she deemed as a friend. "I don't know how you'll handle a friend like me."
Travis chuckled. "I'm sure I'll manage." He said with a wink. He felt more like himself bantering back and forth with Juliet. This is like what he had with the team but different somehow. It was easy and fun. He didn't have to work at it. "So..Friends?" He asked. If she said yes then he could start changing things faster. That scared him immensely but it also excited him.
She bit her lip, pretending to think deeply on the topic. He would be her first real friend. She found it hard to believe the reason they met was because she was making fun of him and two of them had been so rude to each other. "Friends, I guess. Don't keep me a secret, though." Juliet warned with a mock serious face.
Travis shook his head. "I doubt I would be able to keep you a secret. You're too loud." He said in mock disapproval. "You should be more considerate of others and make yourself more invisible. It would make my life so much easier." He grinned down at her. How did they go from arguing and insulting each other to friendship and joking around?
"Me? loud?" She pretended to looked affrnted, an offended hand pressed to her chest is denial. She shook her head a small hum vibrating against her lips. "Life would be no fun if it wasn't for me making it so interesting with my inconsideration of others." Juliet laughed. She tucked her hair behind her ear, challenging him to argue with it.
Travis snorted. "You're going to give Crew and Kegan a run for their money let me tell you." He said a smile flitting across his face. Things were definitely going to be different with Juliet around but how far were his friends going to let him push the boundaries. "I don't think they're going to know what to make of you."
She grinned, twisting over to grab her bottle. Swinging it around, she pointed the nozzle at him and smirked. "I know what. I'm the bad influence." She looked like she took pride in the comment. Things seemed to be moving rather quickly between the two and apparently she was meeting his friends. Julie could definitely confirm that things were going to change from this day forward.
Travis grinned and fell silent. What were people going to say? He could already hear the lectures he would get from his father when he found out he was associating with common "riffraff" as he called them. He didn't think Crew or Kegan would care as much. They got the way Travis thought and would understand. Hopefully.
She sighed as her smirk fell from her lips. It was inevitable for him to have second thoughts about being friends with her. "We've missed our next period." Juliet commented lazily, craning her neck towards the other buildings. "You didn't have to stay with me."
Travis shrugged. "I was planning on skipping anyways." He said truthfully glancing back down at her. "Populars do skip class you know." He said a teasing smile on his face. They had only missed on class so far and would still be able to make it to their other classes if they so choose.
She nodded her head in agreement. "Well it's not my first time either." Juliet teased back, nudging his shoulder with her bottle. With a smirk, she pulled it back and took a sip from her sweet tea. "And it won't be my last."((Are we keeping them friends or...?))
((Idk...I was going to talk to Marie because we haven't RPed Travis and Bridget again and I kinda wanted to...We could add some drama with them if you wanted))Travis sighed. "I doubt it will be my last either even though my father hates when I do skip. He always says it looks bad and shouldn't be done by people of our standing." He rolled his eyes remembering all the times his father used the same lecture for different situations.
((Yeah, I'm fine with that. She's on right now too.))She raised her eyebrows at the new information he leaked. She wasn't sure if he knew that he revealed such information or if he did it purposely because the were friends now. "I see where this is all coming from then." She alluded to her father, her smile fading slightly.
"Where what is all coming from?" Travis asked and then he realized just how much he had told her. He had forgotten that he wasn't talking to one of the guys. Juliet just made it so much easier to talk about things he wouldn't dare say to anyone else. ((I'll talk to her and maybe we could end this soon and I'll RP Travis with Bridget real quick :D))
She rolled her eyes, swinging her sweet tea bottle around carelessly. "These stereotypes. They come from the parents." Juliet shrugged her shoulders. She didn't want to say something that woul anger him but it wouldn't faze her since her first encounter with him had been the opposite of nice.((Yay! XD))
"I told you it was genetic." He said shrugging and pulling up another handful of grass. It was true though. Ever since he had been born his father tried to force the mentality that they were better than other people into his brain. The only one who listened nowadays was his brother Jeremy. Sabrina could care less and well Travis obviously didn't care either.
She nodded her head unsure how to continue that topic. She didn't have problems with her parents controlling who she talked to and what she did with certain people. She had parents who controlled everything she did so she was used to not having her choice with people. Because of that she made sure that her opinions were heard in public and was headstrong enough to carry out her words.
Travis could feel the conversation tapering off and he knew that their next class was soon. He couldn't miss more than one class a day or he would get another lecture. He stood and looked down at Juliet. He hoped that something would come of this. It was his last chance to change things. "It was nice meeting you. We should do this again, but I should get going." He motioned towards the building.
She nodded her head in agreement, having about to suggest he exact same thing. It was nice hanging out with him but unfortunately their time together had come to an end for now. "Yeah, I'll see you around campus." Juliet gathered her bag and her trash, rising to her feet. "I need to keep influencing you, so stick around." She teased a smile before waving goodbye and heading towards the trashcans.
Travis watched her walk away before turning in the direction of his next class. He passed a few teachers but they just smiled at him. The perks of being him he guessed. The bell rang for the next period right as he slid into his seat.
He had spent most of the night, thinking of what had occurred that day. He had befriended one of the old cheerleaders and then after a game of bowling and an encounter with a mean girl, she had become his girlfriend. Nicholas was excited to see his girlfriend again, feeling already so attached to her. He hoped that she didn't think he was too clingy or something. The thoughts continued out through the school day as he strolled through the tables of the cafeteria, his tray of food in hand as he seated himself.
Sabrina clutched the books that she kept with her whenever she was at school and lifted the strap of her bag higher on her shoulder as she walked into the cafeteria. She hadn't seen Nicholas yet today and she was hoping that they could eat lunch together. She glanced at the long lunch line as she walked through the doors and figured it was better to eat at home than wait in that line and lose the time that she could be spending with Nicholas. She scanned the crowded tables and finally spotted him at a somewhat empty table. She grinned at the sight of him and began weaving her way through the tables to get to him.
Hepicked at his food subconsciously as his eyes scanned the cafeteria for Sabrina. He spotted her gorgeous blonde hair from afar as the girl slipped between people and tables to get to his table. An instant smile grew on his lips, gesturing to thebseat next to him. "Miss Dumas, your reserved seat?" Nicholas joked, pretending to lure her into the chair. At least with work around them, it would jot do any good to find to find the bathroom.
Sabrina laughed, pushing her hair over her shoulder and setting her bag on the ground. She sat in the chair he gestured at and turned her attention to Nicholas. "Why thank you Mr. Edwards(that's his last name right? >.<)." She joked, setting her elbow on top of the table and propping her chin in her hand. "How are you this fine day?" She was still thinking about last night and all of the revelations that took place. She felt lighter than she had in the morning yesterday and it was all thanks to him.
((I have no idea what my last sentence was...O.o I can't remember typing it.))He was light headed as he saw his girlfriend closer, taking a seat next to him. There were some odd stares from other tables around the cafeteria, and it took all of his will to not turn around and glare at them all. "Perfect. And you?" Nicholas leaned back in his chair, a lopsided smile sported on his features. He truly didn't care what others thought of him but it was what Natalya might say about Sabrina that worried him. She could show up any minute amd publically humiliate both of them with her power.
((XDD When I read it I was like o.O but decided to ignore it))"Better than ever." She said with her own crooked smile. Just being near him made her feel happier. She could feel the burn of everyone's eyes but kept her focus on Nicholas. She did't want him thinking that it bothered her. She was just waiting for Natalya to show up though. She knew that her comment last night wouldn't slip by without punishment and she was afraid of what was going to happen.
((I was half asleep I guess...weird.))He slid his hand into her lap, grasping one of her smaller hands in his larger ones. The gesture was a movement to comfort her as well as comfort him. He knew that he said that he didn't care what Natalya said or did, but he did. Because whatever affected him would naturally affect Sabrina. He didn't want her to get hurt anymore. Now that henhad this responsibility with her, he wanted to protect her from people like Natalya. "Good." He smiled, squeezing her hand. "Hopefully, she turns the other way." He hoped, reading her mind.
Sabrina wasn't surprised that he could tell where her mind was at. She gave his hand a light squeeze back. She knew that Natalya wouldn't stay away. It was a matter of when not if and she was tense, expecting her to show up at their table any moment. "It's going to happen sometime today. She won't wait long to get her revenge. She never did. And unless she changed in the time that we were friends, she still does the same things."
He wished that he could give herany source of comfort about it, comfort himself even but came up with no solutions. They would have to keep their heads up, prepared for whatever Natalya sent their way. He expected harsh words and nasty rumors. Hopefully, it wouldn't be anything more than that. "We shouldn't think too much on it...it's probably what she wants anyway." Nicholas muttered, pursing his lips at the thought.
Sabrina smiled at his effort to make her, and himself, feel better about the situation. "You're right. I'm sorry. It's just that I know how she operates and I'm just waiting for the moment when she strikes." She said, looking around the cafeteria, not seeing any of her old friends anywhere, before returning her gaze back to Nicholas. "How has your day been?" She asked to change the subject. "We're still on for hanging out later today right?" She hoped he hadn't changed his mind. She wanted to go over a few things for their project but more importantly, she wanted to be around him.
Despite his anxiety for the appearance of Natalya, he was still alert of his girlfriend's voice. A soft smile came to his lips as he thought of it. Sabrina was his girlfriend. He wondered what other's reactions would be, her family, his family. He knew William would be the most surprised. He had gotten his girlfriend while his older brother refused to settle down anywhere. "Of course." Nicholas nodded his head with an enlarging grin. "What do you have in mind for us?" He inquired, his hand absently picking at the food he had taken to their table. A bag of chips and a drink was all he really needed anyway.
Sabrina smiled and was about to answer when a voice broke through their private conversation. "I told you he was your rebound." Natalya. Sabrina turned around and lifted her eyes to see Natalya's smug smile on her face. "And how would you know that he's my rebound? If I remember correctly, we aren't friends anymore and I don't tell you shit about my social life." She should stop trying to stand up to Natalya but she could't stop the words from tumbling out of her mouth. "He's not my rebound, Natalya and if you had any sense you would just walk away and leave us alone."
His smile faded immediately at the high pitched voice that had decided to grace them. A sneer found itself on his lips, returning to his original rude, broody self with the intrusive stranger. At least, a stranger to him. He still wondered what had occurred between Sabrina and Natalya to break their friendship up. They had become enemies of some sort, and he suspected the ex-boyfriend had a large role in this part of their story. They had been expecting to take whatever Natayla had coming and be over with it but with the smart retorts, things had become worse. "Sabrina, it doesn't matter. You don't need to explain anything to her." Nicholas commented. "Her brain doesn't have the capacity to understand anyway."
Sabrina watched with satisfaction as Natalya's face got redder at Nicholas' jab. He didn't even know the history between the two of them and he was still sticking up for them. Natalya's eyes zeroed in on Nicholas and Sabrina knew hen she opened her mouth she was going to say something that could ruin his reputation somehow. Sabrina snapped her fingers in front of Natalya's face and made her focus on her instead. "Don't even think about it. He's not someone who you can play with for your own amusement. He's not Crew."
He raised his eyebrows, prepared for whatever the ex-friend was going to throw at him. But then, Sabrina took her attention off of him and forced Natalya to look in her direction. Satisfaction filled him as he watched the scene play out. The bully was getting everything thrown back in her face instead of the other way around. He didn't think that the girl was really capable of doing too much damage and he hoped to never find out if he was right or wrong. His ears perked up at Sabrina's last comment, the name familiarizing itself in his mind. Crew...her ex-boyfriend. So, he was right about that one thing.
At the sound of Crew's name, Natalya flushed an even deeper red. "You are going to pay for everything you've said, Sabrina. You were my friend long enough to know that I don't mess around." She narrowed her eyes at both of them and turned, walking away from them, back to Sabrina's old group of friends, who had just magically appeared. Sabrina watched them for a moment before turning back to Nicholas. She didn't know what he thought about the whole interaction and was afraid to meet his eyes.
He snorted at her threat, watching her waltz off in the other direction with her posse of dimwitted girls. He shook his head in disapproval, narrowing his eyes at the popular girl in the middle. "I'm so grateful you're not friends with them anymore." Nicholas voiced to Sabrina, his eyes remaining on the group of girls walking away to a far away table. He finally turned to her with a raise of a single eyebrow. "So, I think that went rather well." He announced with a chipper tone, plopping back down into his seat. He nearly laughed at himself for changing his mood so quickly between the encounter with Natalya and now.
Sabrina snorted at his comment. "And if I was still friends with them? Would you have even given me the time of day?" She asked. She really was curious if he would still go out with her if she were still friends with Natalya. Would he have offered to help her with her project and still went bowling with her? Or would he have written her off as an airhead cheerleader not worthy of his time? Sabrina shook her head. "That didn't go well. Not at all. She'll be back and next time she's going to do something that the whole school will be able to see."
He thought about her comment, unsure of what he would have done had that been the case. He didn't really know. Would he have even run into her otherwise? Would she have even been at the library? "I think its you who wouldn't have given me the time of day." Nicholas replied, opening the lid to his water bottle. He took a long drink from the bottle, setting it down on the table once he had satisfied his thirst. "It'll be alright. We've just got to be careful and not run our mouths...too much." He smirked, crossing his legs at the ankles underneath their table.
Sabrina shook her head. He hadn't known her before she lost all of her friends. "Even when I was friends with them, I wasn't that much different than I am now." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She was going to explain more of her relationship with Crew to him, even if she didn't want to think about it. "The relationship I had with Crew was different than the typical relationship between football players and cheerleaders. I had liked him for years before we started dating and do you want to know what he was wearing when he first asked me out?" She asked. People always thought that she only cared about appearance but when she was with Crew she hadn't cared. She had thought she loved him. "He was wearing these really dorky glasses that I hadn't even known he wore."
He raised his eyebrows, unsure of why she was telling him about her ex-boyfriend. It made him feel uncomfortable but had he been just a friend of hers, he would've listened to the story. Just because he was her boyfriend now didn't mean he got to escape those things. No, he would embrace them and embrace his girlfriend, allowing her to release any emotion she desired. He shook his head no when she asked her question. To his surprise, apparently this guy wore dorky glasses. He didn't really know what to think of Crew, not really knowing much about him. "Go on..." Nicholas murmured hesitantly.
"I thought I loved him." She told him truthfully. She didn't want to hide anything from Nicholas and felt that he deserved to know. "I was happy, or I thought I was. Then he did something that he said he would never do." Tears formed in her eyes, but she blinked them away, not wanting to give Crew anymore of herself than she already had. "I had already stopped being friends with Natalya because of what she had done to Crew before I dated him, but the way she betrayed me afterwards will always be fresh in my mind. He said I was being distant and that we rarely saw each other. He said that she had been there and apologized for what had happened..." Sabrina shook her head, not sure if she would be able to continue.
He listened carefully, edging forward on the table to hear her every word. It appeared that whenever they had these type of conversations, they were always in a public place, surrounded by several people. He didn't really want others to hear what they were talking about, but knew the possibility of eavesdroppers. Thankfully, their table was empty and the closest person was a good distance away. Sabrina described the details vaguely, but he could fill in the holes she left behind. He knew what she had been speaking about and was quick to comprehend what had caused the end of her and Crew's relationship. "He cheated on you...with her?" Nicholas spit, his eyebrows furrowing in anger.
Sabrina blinked and nodded. "The ironic thing is that she cheated on him first before he and I ever had anything together." She said softly. That's what had hurt the most. The fact that he had promised her that he would never do that to her and then did the one thing he had promised he wouldn't. She had given him the benefit of the doubt when she found out from someone else but when confronted he hadn't been able to look at her and she knew then that it had been true.
He had already disliked Crew for the obvious reasons, him being the one who broke Sabrina's heart and for once being the boyfriend in her life that made her happy. Now, he knew more about this guy, growing an intense hatred for him. How could someone be so cruel? "That prick..." He growled under his breath, adding on a series of his own choice words. Nicholas knew know that it took a lot from Sabrina to open her heart back up to him after it being thrown back in her face from her ex. "He should be glad that he ran away before he met me..." He muttered, his eyes narrowing at his food on the table.
Sabrina could see the anger written on Nicholas' face and wasn't sure if it had been a good idea to tell him. Sabrina shrugged like it was no big deal and looked down. "It's over and done with and I've tried to forget it ever happened." She said even though she definitely hadnt gotten over it yet. "I'm with you now. I shouldn't even care." She shook her head as if trying to rid them both of the story she had just told. "I'm sorry." She smiled tightly. "Lets change the subject. So about tonight...I was thinking we could do some work and then go out. Maybe see a movie?" The effort to talk about something else after revealing all of that heartbreak was hard but she needed to dispel the the melancholy she felt.
He knew she was right but the feelings of anger and hatred towards her ex-boyfriend seemed to only grow. He sincerely hoped that even if he hated this guy this much, it wouldn't control him into doing things that he might regret later. It tended to happen a lot when he was angry. Sabrina had yet to see his true anger and for her sake, he hoped that she would never encounter it. "Movie sounds good to me." Nicholas murmured, eventually looking up from his plate. It did sound nice and an evening out with his girlfriend again would definitely make him happy. "What movie did you have in mind?" He approached her with the question.
Sabrina could see him battling his anger and hoped never to be on the receiving end of it. She wondered if he would really go after Crew if he was still here or if he would listen to her and leave it alone. She shook her head and turned her thoughts to the current conversation. "How about we show up and whatever is playing at that time is what we see?" She suggested. She had always wanted to do that but none of her friends thought it was practical.
He wrinkled his brow, contemplating over the suggestion. He usually planned ahead what movie he would like to watch at the theaters but her suggestion sounded good to him. It didn't really matter what they watched, really. He just wanted to spend as much time as he could, with her. "So, we show up and watch some random retarded chick flick?" Nichokas teased with a raise of a single eyebrow. He wasn't much for romances, though, and hoped there was a good film in.
