Outer Fields

An open field found around the edges of each kingdom. Anyone can come here since it's abandoned land.

Annette jogged into the Outer Fields and knelt down in a patch of grass, closing her eyes. She pulled out her wand. "Scutum et protectio reticuerunt," she murmured. Then a large clear, shimmering dome surrounded the half-witch. Annette's eyes shot open and the bronze speckles in her eyes have off a faint glow and grew bigger.

Annette raised her wand and hand to the sky. "Ad postremum proelium eamus iuncti et de Nubila!" she cried as thunder clouds began to grow in the dome. Thunder clapped dangerously, lightning bolts flashed across the sky, and it began to pour rain.

Annette threw her hands to the side. "Transmutatio: grando, nix et pluvia in," she breathed out. The rain turned into ice and snow. "Glacies et nives cadit rigéscunt" Annette called. The cold falling precipitation froze in place. "Dimitte," she says simply and the frozen ice drops crashed to the ground and shattered like glass.

"Dele, quod tersus," she finishes tiredly. The dome, thunderclouds and ice disappear and Annette leans back against a nearby rock. "Whew…"

The dark-haired girl rubs her glowing eyes and flips her fallen hood back on before running off back into the Mist Kingdom, glancing back once with her restored eyes.
