I have some series on my kindle which I have been collecting, so my challenge for this is to read some more of them! I'm not going to try to finish a series, just read a bit more because some of these have been on my kindle for a long time - so it dove tails with my first challenge to clear my back list! The series are

George Gently - I bought several in an earlier sale but haven't even read one of them yet!

Agatha Raisin - I bought most of this series, again in an earlier sale, but find that I can only tolerate her in small doses now. I will try to read at least two more though.

Daisy Dalrymple - I am really enjoying these, but have reached a gap in my books. I have some of the later ones of the series and have read a few of the earlier ones, so I will look to buy the missing ones before I carry on with this.

Miss Phryne Fisher - I bought the first three books in the series but haven't read any yet.

Dotsy Lamb - I have three out of four of these, but haven't read any yet.

Amelia Peabody - I have an omnibus edition of the first four stories.

I won't add too many more unless something catches my interest as the year goes on.

Ah! I knew there was another series but I couldn't remember what it was called. I was searching the manage-my-kindle section to find it - but then decided that I'd imaged it. It was Amelia Peabody! I'll go and add it into my list. Thanks!

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I have Agatha raisin too!!!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Tried one Agatha Raisin but it didn't resonate with me. Don't think I'll read another.

I enjoyed them in small doses.

Wouldn't it be boring if everyone liked all the same things though. Not everyone will like bacon or S King. (or even bacon on S King as I originally wrote.)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Lol! I have the first four in an omnibus

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Bacon covered Stephen King sounds like the perfect weekend to me!

I need to read more cozy books. Been ages since I have.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12642 comments Good luck. I seem to have got a lot of cozy mysteries when I first got my kindle. I like the idea of tackling a couple of books in a series rather than the whole lot

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I have a collection on my kindle called "series"
I meant to knock up a spreadsheet with the order on them and keep it in there. I did a spreadsheet of sorts, but haven't transferred it.
I've been enjoying the J.A. Konrath Jack Daniels series (I've got loads of them for free) and tried to read them in order, but recently found #3 in my collection. I was up to about #6 or so. It didn't really matter much, sort of :)

Kath | 1233 comments Bunch of daisy and agatha books down to 84p or something if you need to plug gaps... :)

Wow - very jammy. I've just checked my wishlist and find that the next Daisy Dalrymple in the series for me to read has dropped in price to 84p! Duly nabbed!

Jay-me (Janet) | 3785 comments I've now read all the Daisy Dalrymple books except the latest and have started on the first Amelia Peabody - I have the first 4 in an omnibus edition.

Wow - well done, Janet!

I filled in the gaps with my Daisy Dalrymple collection whilst the books were on sale. So I'm now half way through reading Rattle His Bones which is the eighth book in the series.

How are you getting on with Amelia Peabody, Janet?

I've read all but the very latest one :)

Well done - did you enjoy them though?

Jay-me (Janet) | 3785 comments Silly me!!! I mean the fourth book in the omnibus, which I have started reading this lunchtime.

I started reading the first one last year & gave up after a couple of pages, but this time of reading I have sailed through. They are different, but I have enjoyed reading them. If the rest are still at 84p I would probably buy a couple (ha ha) more of them. I believe there are something like 19 or 20 all together.

When I was selecting what to read next I read the first few sentences of Amelia and it didn't appeal. Now it has your seal of approval, I will presevere! Thanks.

Now finished books 8 and 9 in the Daisy Dalrymple series! Rattle His Bones and To Davy Jones Below. I reallly enjoyed the latter one, the best so far in the series for me!

Now I plan to start the 10th book The Case of the Murdered Muckraker. They are quite light books which don't take very long to read.
