OK, I'll make a suggestion:Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris. Seems like it has a bit of everything - romance, mystery, food even a scrapbook - since so many of us are from 2peas! And it's a woman author.
Sounds like fun... as long as the library has whatever book is chosen (really broke college grad student right now, but the library @ home is pretty well stocked!)
