I've never really read a book mostly about mental diseases so this one is interesting. I like knowing what comes to Craig's mind under or not under medication, and what he thinks of other people if he kills himself, what goes around his mind that worsens his depression and suicudal ideas. It's believable and real, and how brave it was for the author to tell this story of his and publish it; and made it into a film.

I think the admirable aspect of this book is instead of Craig killing himself, he seeked for help and checked himself in. Though he was determined to do it, he didn't hesitate calling for help. He even worries about his family but the depression has taken a toll on him. I think this story raises an awareness about the issues it tackled, that nothing small or big shouldn't be minded.
I agree. I also adore how the author shows how his friends (other people around him) reacted and how he treats that reaction. It's just shows that mental illnesses shouldn't be romanticize in any ways.
