Introducing the 2014 Book List

I like the list (although it is 61, there are 2 number 20s, but I'm ok with that). Thanks for including everyone. I found several that I've wanted to read and a few I hadn't heard of, so we are off to a great start :)

Thursday Next is a series though not one book. 'The Eyre Affair' is the first book in the series.

Have read a few of them. And as Heather asked. Is this the order we're reading them in?
I will post a deadline/schedule on the 1st!

I will post discussion forum on a general title once a month. Please let me know what titles you want to read so that I can add the list of independent reads, thanks!

The idea is to try something new, or different. Hopefully, everyone will find a new book or author to enjoy, but even if you don't become a fan, you will have taken the journey. Give them a chance, or, if you just can't read one of the books, ask for a substitute! Lots of members out here willing to share :)

We tried to include some classics and different authors. I am not a Dan Brown fan in the slightest but some members we requested it! If there is a title you would like to read next time around, let me know!

I am so very excited to start reading & discussing literature with you guys! Due to the poll that we had majority of you voted that we should read 60 books together & 40 independently so that is what we are going to do. We will also discuss the books you are going to read independently. I ask when you have a chance to please send me a list in a message of the books you are going to read independently. Thank you! If there is a book that you really want on this list, please let me know and I will see what I can. I tried my best to pick a book for everyone.
Remember
* If you plan on reading independently and you wish to discuss your book choices, please send me a list of books (in a message) you are going to read and want to discuss.
* PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, utilize your local library. Many of these books have been out for a while and you should be able to find them. Also, for those Ereaders most of the classics are free or very cheap.
* If anyone knows of a place to find cheap books/Ebooks please let me know so I can share with the rest of the group.
* Let me know your feedback on the list!
