as soon as this challenge was suggested i thought of Rulers Of Darkness
unfortunately it is not available digitally but you can get a cheap copy on amazon (0.01 plus shipping) so i am throwing it out there anyway.

The MD is not available electronically either and The Descent is cheaper in paperback anyway.I guess it comes with the sleeper territory.
I'm a big fan of Stuart MacBride. My favourites are
($3.79) and
(1.99) The first three books in the Logan McRae series are $0.99 if anyone is interested.
I also really enjoyed
which I read about a month ago, two great central characters and a very different take on the zombie genre.

Well, it don't look like it is going to be much of a challenge. I sent a broadcast message out and everything. There is still a little time though, I will set the challenges up the 29th
What if we moved this challenge over to the horror aficionados group? There might be more people who'd respond. If not, and it's under 10 books, I will pledge to read all of the suggestions.
I am ok with it, but you would have to suggest it to one of the admins over there. I think only admins can create them.
I saw one of your comments about this to ha in your newsfeed awhile back, did you get it set up over there or should I create the challenge?

The md sounds great but it is the second book in the series so I may have to look the first one up first.

I'm not sure who linked those four books as they are totally unrelated. I've read The Priest as well and it has absolutely nothing to do with the md.I can't remember, but I'm assuming that the common link is a Minnesota setting and nothing else.

To be honest, I think we should just save this one til next year. We've got plenty of challenges. In the meantime, if people want to post their sleeper picks, I'd still be interested to hear them,
Ok, well unofficial challenge then is I am going to read at least one of yours and one of Kate's since you where the only two to post besides me and I was looking forward to it.
Yea sure. I have a lot lined up but I will try to keep them towards the top of my tbr pile and let you know when I get a chance to find a time that works for us both.
Only a couple books I can really think of that may fall into this category that I've read at least recently, and they would probably be
and
. I read The Floors as a pre-reader and even have an acknowledgment in it :)I suppose another one that MAY count for this is
, but am not really sure. It was published by Dark Regions back in 2011. I actually ordered the paperback of this in 2013 when they were doing their big sale and my copy was one of the 100 signed paperbacks, which meant the less than 100 paperback had been sold, and they weren't sold out of the HC last I checked (Though it's been months since I looked)!Whether those would be considered sleepers or not, I'd highly recommend them all be read at some point if they sound interesting to you.
You're welcome. Not sure why it's sold so few copies at Dark Regions. I found it to be a very enjoyable read. Hopefully it sells better in eBook form
Ah, cool, you're welcome! I knew it had been for a little while before, but didn't know it still was.
I love the book Under the Skin. I read it when it first came out. A friend recommended it to me and I was so happy about. Creepy books, at least at the time I read it. It's still so vivid in my mind and I read that a long time ago. I want to watch the movie. It's for sure a cross in genre's. Good book!
