"Have not read him yet?" Who let you into Horror Aficionados!? They will be held... accountable...

Dude, if you don't like the first Tim Curran novel you read, I'll owe you a beer. I'm that certain. Most of the ones on my shelf are darkfuse and lendable. Let me know if any look good to you.

The Well, by Jack Cady

message 13: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 964 comments They all look good to.me 11. I had only heard about him within the last year and suppose I just haven't gotten around to reading him.

I tell you what; whatever one you think I should read first, I will gladly read it.

If you want to email the mobi file, I will be happy to dig in.

Happy to oblige. Any Curran read has potential for a group read as far as I'm concerned.

I second Misery since I loved the shining so much and The Well, too. I just finished Ghost Story last month.

message 17: by Holly (new)

Holly (goldikova) .......sorry guys, I can only read those cold-weather themed books if I am sitting outside on a 90 degree day. The biggest joy of reading for me is the escapism and between now and the vernal equinox there will be a lot of snow and cold temperatures that I will desperately need to escape from. (I typed that while huddled over a space heater)

So carry on without me and don't forget to check the weather forecast before you head for the mountains........and don't get frostbite!

I haven't read Curran's THE HIVE yet, either, but have it in both kindle and paperback format. :)

message 34: by Shaun (last edited Dec 03, 2013 10:23AM) (new)

Shaun Horton | 316 comments I found it, specifically searching for Ghost Story Peter Straub, but it's an unabridged audio version and they want $17.95. I don't think so.

message 35: by Sally (new)

Sally (reinesally) | 10 comments I'll just get the paper version, but I do wonder why there isn't a Kindle version.

message 36: by Greg (new)

Greg | 359 comments My apologies I think I am going to pass on this month which is going to be hectic for me anyway and maybe try and catch up on some smaller books in my TBR stack. Seeing as this one is a larger book and not available on my kindle (I do most of my reading at work discreetly on my iPhone).

sonny (no longer in use) (satyrica) | 226 comments can't you just find a epub version and convert it to mobi using calibre? calibre is a free piece of software btw. I have the epub version on my kobo

message 41: by Sally (new)

Sally (reinesally) | 10 comments Where did you find your epub version?
