Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 985 comments William Krasner is a BURIED noir-type writer. We of The BURIED Book Club do not oppose genre fiction on principle ; we only oppose all of the junk published in the many genres. Apparently Krasner rises above the herd. Friend AC recommends Walk the Dark Streets and cites Chandler's rec of same. That's good enough for me.

Thanks so much for pointing Krasner out here - i just got done with Walk the Dark Streets and thought it was great, stupidly forgetten, work of hardboiled fiction! My review is here.

I've got a few more of his to get to as well - basically the other Sam Birge novels - I'll pop back in as I get to them over the next little while.

Here's my review of The Stag Party, which was so Buried I had to actually add it to the GR database.

Just as good as Walk the Dark Streets, though not quite as dark or dirty.
