Greg Metcalf Reading Nemesis got me interested in the history of Polio. Is anyone aware of a book, sort of a David McCullough type book, about the origin of Polio, maybe something that follows the disease over the generations, and ends with the story of the invention of the immunization? If that book doesn't exist, someone should write it. Or if there is a book about communicable diseases, of which Polio is just a chapter or a part of the book. Shot in the dark post, I suppose, but thought I'd ask.

Greg Metcalf Well, someone had my good idea a long time ago. Polio: An American Story. I just added it to my to-read list.

Cathy I had the same question. thanks for answering it.

Greg Metcalf It was very good. Not sure if I remembered to review it, but it was everything I was looking for and more. Let me know what you think, if you get to it.
