History:
James came from a lower middle class family. His mother and father had run away from being Shadowhunters before they had James and he never actually knew what Shadowhunters were until he was around 8 years old. Naturally good at sports and English due to genetics, James always had an easy time in school and was always very popular, despite his shyness. However, he yearned for something more... Adventurous. When James turned seventeen he told his parents he wanted to join the Shadowhunters. At first his parents protested, but eventually they accepted that James was free to make his own decisions. James had been marked when he was younger, so it was easy for him to adjust to being a shadowhunter. At first he resided in the Los Angeles Institute, but eventually he decided to head for the New York one.

History: She came from a secretive family of Shadowhunters (the Schleiersterne, or Veilstar). She was raised by her uncle at the family's cabin in Idris. She eventually escaped and during the confusion after the Mortal War she slipped through a Portal to New York. She bumped into her half-cousin Marisaiella, who allowed her to stay with her in her apartment in Brooklyn.

Relationship Status: Single, and intends to stay that way.

Other: Loves Shakespeare. Her favourite witty retort (mine too) is "I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed", a very good way to call a stupid person stupid without them realising it.

Hazel Eyes with flecks of blue, light brown hair with slight curls (long), ghostly pale skin, long dark eyelashes, slightly curvy but slim body.
Style:
Dresses very proper in high class garments. Her favorite color would be sky blue, with a light turquoise coming in second. She prefers to wear her hair down, but will wear it up if the setting calls for it.

History:
From an affluent shadowhunter family--and isn't afraid to let you know it. Daphne grew closer to her nanny than to her actual mother, due to a lack of parenting. Her mother usually put her in the care of the servants, rather than actually caring for her. However, her mother told her stories every week about how the Shadowhunters conquered the demons and were superior to other races. Daphne's father also taught her not to trust those that were not Nephilim. However, despite these teachings, Daphne made room in her heart for one mundane- Holly, her nanny. Yet, she does still follow her parents' words.
When she was 15, a rogue werewolf found it's way onto her estate, enraged at her family for killing some of his brethren. The werewolf ran loose, destroying everything in its sight-- completely mad. Many of the servants were brutally murdered, due to their genes and lack of training, Holly included. Daphne was distraught when she found out that Holly was dead, and she has had a hatred fore downworlders since. She wears a ruby neckacw on her neck at all times, for it was the necklace Holly had given to her on her 10th birthday. Not one of the more extravagant pieces of her jewelry, she keeps it for personal and sentimental sake, rather than for its value.
She has always lived in her parent's York estate until she decided to move to the London Institute.

History:Alec came from a long line of shadowhunters starting with his 5* great grandparents. He was forced to train in Martial Arts when he turned 3. He became an expert and was able to handle himself from adult men when he was 6. He didn't like being a shadowhunter, but he knew at one point he would have to. His mother and father were always off killing vampires and etc. He was always with his grandma until he turned 10 and his parents were found dead in an abandoned house. His father was found pale and all the blood from his body was sucked out. His mother was found under a white sheet. She had suffucated. After he found out of his parents' deaths he took on the line of shadowhunters and did what they did. He moved to New York when he turned 15 after his grandmother passed away. He stayed in a house where he went out every night killing vampires trying to find his parents' killers. Since their deaths he has been driven by a sense of determination and purpose.

History: When she was eight, a pack of werewolves killed her parents. At a Shadow fest, she ran into many and got into several fights. She was taken in by Emma Carstairs and they became like sisters. She is now a skilled shadowhunter.
