In this version, the three Christmas ghosts were portrayed differently than in most versions. Does anyone have thoughts or opinions on that? Also, do you think this was a story that lent itself well to being a musical? Why or why not? Any other thoughts or questions pertaining to this version?

Never saw it, but in the 1970 musical version (Scrooge), the (mediocre) songs seem to seriously slow down the story.
