Alex | 15 comments I am currently reading through the gospel of Matthew and am attempting to get the big picture of Matthew.

Along with that, I am attempting to connect the smaller parts to one another. In other words, I am asking: "What thought is driving this text?"

That said, would any of you have a recommendation for a book that helps point out these things?

Thank you,

Benjamin | 4 comments I think a thorough introduction to all of the Gospels as overview and some detail can be found in some of the chapters in Craig Blomberg's book entitled Jesus and the Gospels.

Trice I don't know if you want a full on commentary, but if you're interested, Tim Challies has been posting some of what he considers the best commentaries on each book of the Bible, including Matthew.
