Along for the Ride

I chose to read Along for the Ride written by Sarah Dessen. This book is great for people that like a mix of romance and family relationship conflicts. The plot of the story is when the main character, Auden, decides to live with her dad and stepmother for the summer in a small beach town. Auden is offered a job at a clothing boutique and accepts. There, she is introduced to the concept of girls, fashion, and boys; all of which she missed out on while trying to be the perfect daughter for her strict and demanding mom. That's when Auden meets Eli; a mysterious loner with an intriguing past. Eli and Auden both experience insomnia so they embark on a quest where Eli is taking Auden to all the places she missed out on as a kid; but with one twist: there are adventuring in the night. Auden is dealing with her family and her parents divorce while Eli is trying to recover from his dark and tragic past. Eli and Auden are perfect for each other, they just need a few long nights to realize it.
