Maybe the diving place was far enough away that the others couldn't go back to commit the crime and return? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in the book though, so that's weird. Judge Dekker seems biased from the start already, I wonder if there's any information he knows that we don't. Tate seems fishier to me somehow? If any of them were to get away with murder it'd probably be him and so far Anna just doesn't have any motives to kill Elise. (hide spoiler)]

It also says the murdered stole her necklace, maybe he wants it to make up for losing the bracelet, not sure though. I think the necklace is important though as it's been mentioned a few times. I also think Judge Dekker is involved as he seemed pleased with himself when they arrested Anna and Tate, taking the blame off himself and him asking those questions during interrogations that don't relate to the crime. Still confused why AK is trying to blame them too. I don't think Anna and Tate are actually involved anymore. (hide spoiler)]
