Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) So what do you guys like to listen to (online radio and more)?

Here's some online radio shows I like to listen to online that are horror themed. Check them out!

Charred Remains http://www.blogtalkradio.com/charred_...
Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror podcast http://www.bodacioushorror.co.uk/
Body Count Podcast- http://www.bodycountpodcast.com
The Flow- http://www.blogtalkradio.com/the-phan... On once a month called the flow celebrating women in horror
Horrorfi- http://www.blogtalkradio.com/horrorsnark
The XXX's-on the same link as Charred remains and does an episode once every few months.

Other than that, I listen to local radio stations 96.3 Jack Fm and Mix 92.9 out of Nashville, TN which will be playing Christmas music after thanksgiving. http://www.963jackfm.com and http://www.mix929.com

I also listen to REO Speedwagon and more on my mp3 player that has 800 songs on it.

Michael (knowledgelost) I listen mainly to audiobooks and podcasts, but I'll save that for a possible thread.

But if I listen to music I tend to go back to bands like Placebo, Blue October, etc. But I've been listening to a lot of Caravan Palace lately.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) Cool michael. :-) I like the song calling you by blue october!

Holly (hollycoulson) I follow a few youtubers. I'm trying to get into Radio 4/4 Extra to try get a bit more culture in my life, plus they seem to do really good dramas etc.

I've recently gotten into audiobooks as well, but I only use them in long car journeys. I listened to some Middlemarch and really enjoyed it!

I wish I could focus on audiobooks. I have to be able to read something or else it all goes in one ear and out the other.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) have u guys ever listened to Alec Baldwin's online radio show Here's the thing. It is a local NYC talk show where he interviews different people like Billy Joel and more. He even interviewed John Hughes who did the Home alone movies and more. I listened to the one he did with Debbie Reynolds and it was very interesting. you guys can listen to episodes here. http://www.wnyc.org/shows/heresthethi... . I like audiobooks too. I only own one audiobook cd of Doug Bradley's Spinechillers audiobook series and one time I heard on a cassette an audiobook of a Stephen king short story collection which had movie stars reading the stories and one of them was Matthew Broderick.

Kathy Love to listen to Coast-to-Coast with George Noory. I like the strange!

Lynn Bonelli (lynnbonelli) I really need to get "with it" and find out the program schedule for NPR and BookRadio on siriusXM. I often forget to turn on the radio (or TV) but when I clean or cook I vary between 90's alternative, classical and Sinatra/Rat Pack. Podcasts by Tara Brach (meditation/Buddhism) and Who's Your Guru. But I'd love to check out some new podcasts or talk radio shows.

Beth Sometimes I get audiobooks from librivox.org, which has free audio recordings of books in the public domain. I have also used the Library2Go free audiobooks service through my public library a few times.

Last year I listened to Corey Olsen's Silmarillion Seminar, which I recommend to anyone interested in JRR Tolkien's Silmarillion - there's a lot of discussion of Tolkien's style, the themes of the book and character motivations. I took notes on my Ipod, but I lost them when my Ipod froze and I had to restore it.

My favorite music Cherish the Ladies, Solas (Celtic music) Apocalyptica (Finnish metal), John Renbourn and Joan Baez (folk music) and Loreena McKennitt. I've also been listening to classical music lately. Oh, and speaking of The Silmarillion, I really like Blind Guardian's concept album based on it - it's called Nightfall in Middle-earth.
