Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 193 comments Ah, so I speak too quickly. Vanderhaege's book is not the first book-length study of Bob's books. From the "Understanding XYZ" is Brian Evenson's Undertanding Robert Coover. I'll need to find myself with-copy one of these days.

Dan Wickett | 3 comments If you haven't done so yet, Nathan, I found this one well worth it. I love Evenson's fiction, but found his readings of Coover really spot on and put out plainly enough for this non-scholar to enjoy.

Thanks for highlighting this, Dan. I'll make the exchange equal and highlight Vanderhaeghe's recently published study (Dalkey), Robert Coover and the Generosity of the Page ; quite a riotous, cooverian blast! There are a few of Vanderhaeghe's pieces floating around the netz for a sampling, including this one :: Dr. Chen's Amazing Adventure!

Dan Wickett | 3 comments Agreed on the Vanderhaeghe. Skimming through all of these earlier this morning I found that link and it certainly helps explain why I've never found a copy, doesn't it?

Thanks again for highlighting this volume. It's quite excellent.
